Publication of 2014-2016 results of dialogue and consultation with society
At the end of October, Andra forwarded to the National Public Debates Commission (CNDP) the results of its consultation around Cigéo carried out since the public debate in 2013/2014. Andra has deployed an extensive dialogue and consultation process since 2014 concerning the Cigéo project, in order to involve the stakeholders and citizens in the various topics and components.
The document presents the actions taken by Andra to engage in the dialogue –both in the field and on-line - around the geological disposal facility: meetings, debates, conferences, events, etc. It also highlights innovative communication actions deployed to talk differently about radioactive waste: visits for bloggers, creation of digital media for future generations (www.lesarpenteurs.fr), short film competition (Regards sur les déchets radioactifs), or the call for artistic projects to “imagine the memory of radioactive waste repositories for future generations”. Last but not least, it describes the participation and joint-construction measures which were initiated with regard to the various project issues, to contribute to the design of Cigéo up to the filing of the building authorisation application: management of impacts, connection between the two surface installations, the water monitoring programme, the memory programme, the project operations master plan, etc.
