Launch of a committee of independent experts: the underground technical committee
On March 28, Andra launched its underground technical committee (STC). Composed of external experts, this committee's mission is to issue opinions and recommendations on Andra's activities in the field of underground works and works, particularly in connection with the Cigéo project for the deep geological disposal of radioactive waste.

The Cigéo project is now in its last design phase, and in order to progressively prepare for the construction phase, Andra wanted to benefit from an independent expertise, the underground technical committee, to issue critical opinions on its technical files. . Created for a renewable term of 5 years, the underground technical committee is made up of 11 external and independent members of Andra, French and foreign, recognized for their expertise.
