More than 3,500 visitors to the Aube Centers in 2018
Last year, 3,574 people, precisely, visited the facilities of Andra industrial centers in the Aube, including 890 at the open day held on Sunday, September 23. There were 184 groups visiting the CSA, an average of one group of visitors welcomed each working day.
Looking at geographic origin, although the department of Aube is the most represented (36% of the public welcomed), the departments of the Paris region arrive just next with 24% of the visitors received. This is not surprising since a significant proportion of visits (47%) are for groups of students from different French universities, many of which are located in Île-de-France.The general public represents 28% of visitors, followed by nuclear industry (13%).
The foreign delegations are present as well,t with about 9% of visitors welcomed in 2018. Wildly seen as international references, the industrial centers of the Aube have indeed received many representatives from China, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Malaysia, Australia, South Korea and Japan, who are looking for Andra's expertise in radioactive waste management.
