Radioactive waste in France

All human activity produces waste. The use of radioactivity properties in many sectors continuously generates radioactive waste. These wastes emit radioactivity and generate risks to humans and the environment. As such, they must be specifically managed according to their level of radioactivity and the length of the period over which they will remain hazardous.
