The National Inventory
Through the National Inventory, a key reference tool, Andra provides an annual overview of radioactive materials and radioactive waste in France, with the objective of presenting the most comprehensive and up-to-date picture possible.
Every five years, Andra also publishes forward-looking estimates of future quantities of radioactive materials and waste under a range of contrasting scenarios reflecting possible developments in France's nuclear facilities and long-term energy policy.
All data are available through the National Inventory website and are also published as open data, available in French only.
To ensure transparency, Andra has established a multi-stakeholder steering committee to oversee the preparation of the National Inventory.
Each year, the quantities of radioactive materials and waste are also presented to the working group of the National Plan for the Management of Radioactive Materials and Waste (PNGMDR).
Co-chaired by the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR) and the Directorate General for Energy and Climate (DGEC), this working group brings together representatives of government bodies, safety authorities, radioactive waste management organisations, waste producers, associations and wider civil society.
